Philippe Clement was happy with Rangers 3-0 defeat of Ross County in Dingwall – the club’s most emphatic away Premiership win of the season – but like any manager he was still looking for more.
“It was a well-deserved win with three really good goals – but we could have scored more. We had several really good attacks denied by some really good saves from the goalkeeper. However we are getting more shots on target.
“I can see the development of the team week-by-week, becoming better and better. They all know their job on the pitch, individually and collectively, and take responsibility So you see things beginning to gel together.

“It’s important to win this kind of game by three goals and also to keep a clean sheet, playing a mature game, after what they’ve been through in the past couple of months.
“The team is really focused now. I believe there is a lot of potential and quality in this squad. The physical level is growing. You can see a really good team spirit.”
There was praise for Danilo, who scored for a second successive game.
“I’m very happy for Danilo – we missed him very much over eleven months. He’s not yet at his top level – only time will bring that. He’s a very positive guy – always with a smile. He likes attacking football.”
Next up for Rangers is the visit of Tottenham Hotspur to Ibrox on Thursday evening in the UEFA Europa League. Clement is under no illusions about the size of the task that Rangers will face.
“This is a different game entirely against a club that is out of our league in financial terms. It will be interesting to see what this team can do at that level against one of the best teams in the world.”
