All of this will likely be a source of great frustration for Gold and Sullivan, who have shown that they are very aware of their wider image, which could arguably be damaged by continued protests against them.
An example of how seriously they take this came in the Liverpool home game, when a season ticket holder was banned from the stadium for the rest of the season after wearing a t-shirt with the message ‘GSB OUT’ written across it while being a flagbearer, as reported by The Guardian.
