da 888casino: Leeds’ chances of signing Che Adams seem to be dwindling by the hour as we’ve not heard any positive news since the White set the Saints a deadline after putting in an offer for the former Birmingham City man.
da aposte e ganhe: It may be time for the Whites to consider their options on the striker front, and fortunately, it seems as though the Yorkshire club’s top brass are considering contingency plans.
What’s the story then?
As you can imagine, Alan Nixon has been bombarded by Leeds fans asking him for a transfer update pretty much every day this month.
With the Adams saga looking to conclude sooner rather than later, one United supporter asked The Sun journalist if the club have a plan in place if they don’t land Adams.
Nixon didn’t state that Leeds have a plan, but he did inform us that key figures at the club were meeting on Wednesday to discuss as many as five different options.
Can’t waste time
Of course, we don’t know who for sure these men are, but we can make educated guesses based on what reliable sources have reported over the past few weeks.
Dwight Gayle was named by Football Insider as a player that Leeds have in mind as an Adams alternative.
Phil Hay stated earlier this week that Leeds had unsuccessfully inquired about Andre Gray, while he also said that there’s a player in Europe that is on their list of potential options alongside multiple Premier League options, and one of those could be Billy Sharp based on a report from Graham Smyth.
Leeds fans have to be hoping that the bosses can put their heads together and agree on one man as the striker they want to pursue as with just over two weeks of the window left they can’t afford to waste time deliberating between different options.
Every day that Leeds don’t have a striker is a risk. At present, they only have one senior centre-forward in the squad, and if Patrick Bamford picks up an injury they will be in serious trouble.
The sooner Leeds get a striker the better, so you have to hope that this meeting was productive.
In other news, one young star at Leeds may not have a future at Elland Road.
