da betsul： Liverpool fans on Twitter have been getting excited after The Mirror reported that Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic could be available for £5om in the January transfer window, and many clearly believe that a deal is already in place.
According to The Mirror, the German side’s chief executive Michael Zorc recently declared that none of the club’s “essential” stars would leave in January. However, young winger Pulisic has just over 18 months left on his current contract, having stalled on signing an extension, and he has since lost his place in the starting XI to Jadon Sancho.
The 20-year-old is a huge talent though. He has pace to burn and extremely quick feet, making him a nightmare for defenders.
A move would also make strong commercial sense for the Liverpool brand and for owners FSG. Pulisic is the rising star of American ‘soccer’, which is becoming increasingly popular. He already has a big-money sponsorship deal with Nike and he would certainly grow the Reds’ fan base in the USA.
With Jurgen Klopp’s past relationship with Pulisic at Dortmund and the recent £20m reported price drop, Liverpool fans are clearly feeling that a move is viable and that the deal is about to be done.
